The upcoming exploration-puzzle game Stray is coming to PC and PS4/5 July 19th this year. In Stray you get to play as a stray cat within a city full of robots. You travel through a dark, overly close-built city where no daylight ever hits the ground. Being the acrobatic creature you are allows you to explore every nook and cranny of this mysterious town on your mission to find your lost family.
Stray looks to be an interesting game. Taken place in a cyberpunk universe, and in a city based on the old chinese town of Kowloon Walled City – a city built so high that every street was so dark that no light went through. Dirty, grimy and with sewage spilling down from somewhere above the dark halls of Kowloon was filled with crime, prostitution and poverty. When watching the trailer for Stray it looks to be quite similar – but with the cyberpunky atmosphere shining through – sometimes litterally. The city is filled with neon light, poverty-stricken robots and odd machines.
From the look of things our stray familiar seems to be the only living creature in this world of robots. The game is set to be a third-person game within said decaying cybercity. You will be able to crawl high and low, interacting with the environment as only a cat can do. With our lovely feline friend is a small drone, B-12, who will help us on our quest to find our family. When the game hits be sure to tune in for a review of the game.
